The focus of Dawn Finlayson's practice is employment law. Her expertise is highly regarded in San Antonio and throughout Texas. An accomplished litigator, she has taken numerous complex and document intensive cases through trial to verdict. Her clients include all types of business entities, including large, publicly held companies, large and small private corporations, and various types of governmental entities. Ms. Finlayson represents companies and political subdivisions at every level of employee negotiation and dispute, from the drafting of employment agreements and employment handbooks to the representation of companies before local, state and federal administrative agencies, as well as handling of every aspect of employment-related litigation, from discovery to jury trial to appeal.


During her 30 year career, Ms. Finlayson led the 20 lawyer employment section of one of the premier firms of San Antonio, held the position of Senior Counsel for a Fortune 200 company, served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas, and served as law clerk to the Chief Judge for the United States District Courts of the Western District of Texas.
